The vaccine push system implemented by eHealth Africa has yielded better results in terms of vaccine availability and accountability. Before VDD, irregular vaccine collection led to stock-outs at the health facilities. Many times, apex facilities would visit LGA cold store to collect vaccines only to discover that vaccines were unavailable because the LGA cold chain officer did not receive vaccines from the state. This made many health care users and providers lose confidence in the health system.
