eHealth Africa wins outstanding International Non-Governmental Organization of the year

The eHealth Africa team in Sierra Leone won the award presented by the Sierra Leone CEO Council for the work carried out in the country throughout 2018.

FREETOWN, Sierra LeoneDecember 12, 2018 — eHealth Africa (eHA) Sierra Leone office was selected as the winner of the 2018 CEO Council Award out of dozens of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in the country. The event took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel; in Aberdeen, Freetown.

The Sierra Leone CEO Council Award celebrates excellence, innovation, commitment and best practices in the corporate, public and NGO sectors across Sierra Leone. The event is held every year and this time the award was aimed at celebrating exceptional leadership and corporate excellence in Sierra Leone.

As stated by Joseph Moore, Chairman of the 2018 Organising Committee of the CEO Council Awards, “Organizations were selected based on the impact they are contributing to many spheres of life. eHealth Africa has been outstanding in the area of development, especially in the health sector.”

An eHA staff member, Sonia Khalil, was also recognised and awarded at the event. Sonia Khalil, the Procurement Supervisor at eHealth Africa’s Sierra Leone office, received the “Outstanding Non-Profit Professional Staff of The Year 2018” award.
