Adam co-founded eHA in 2009.

As Executive Director, Adam provides executive management for the entire organization. Adam leverages his expertise in global health and informatics to strategically innovate and lead eHA’s business development, research, private sector engagement, and health information technology initiatives. Furthermore, he heads eHA’s country offices in Nigeria and eHA’s Global Health Informatics Teams, which is inclusive of GIS, Software, and IT Systems.  

During the 2014-2016 Ebola outbreak, Adam rapidly built emergency response teams consisting of 300+ staff across Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea in under two months. Furthermore, with less than one week’s notice, he createdan Ebola response team in Lagos, Nigeria. Adam spearheaded the CDC’s Ebola vaccine trial program in Sierra Leone, which was conceived, designed, and operational in under two months. Over the course of just one year, the Vaccine Direct Delivery program that Adam developed in Nigeria decreased stock outs of vaccines and related commodities from the extremely high rate of over 90% to an impressive 10%. 

Prior to founding eHA, Adam served as the Associate Director for Programs and Instruction for the Global Information Internship Program (GIIP) at the Center for Global, International and Regional Studies, University of California, Santa Cruz. He holds a BSc in Information Systems and Technology Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Evelyn co-founded eHA in 2009. As Executive Director, Evelyn provides executive management for the entire organization as well as programmatic and strategic leadership in the framework of eHA's business development and relationship building. She further heads eHA’s office in Sierra Leone and provides thought-leadership for eHA’s strategic capacity building.

Evelyn’s efforts were key to raising over $35m in funding over eHA's first four years. In 2014/2015, she led eHA to triple staff capacity in 12 months and oversaw the organizational development of eHA’s expansion from 1 country to 4 countries including staff organization, restructuring, and program development.

Evelyn has received a number of awards including an Honorable Mention at the UC Berkeley Big Ideas Competition for Technology in Interest of Society, and a first place award with the Rick Hooper Scholarship Foundation on her thesis looking at Women’s Human Rights and Access to Health Care in Muslim Societies of Northern Nigeria. Prior to founding eHA, Evelyn acted as Fellow of the Global Information Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Evelyn read Health Sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Walden University.

Dave joined eHA in January 2016. Dave incubates new software solutions, advises on information systems architecture, and develops innovative business opportunities.

Dave makes it his mission to instil within his colleagues the importance of information as an asset. Dave launched an eHA-wide initiative to track every data source and host them in unified eHA Global Datasource Registry. Focused on building eHealth knowledge and capacity, Dave designed and taught a course on data management skills to West African software developers, network engineers, and other IT technicians at the first eHealth Africa Academy. His work also includes developing a partnership to expand the use of electronic medical records in hospitals and health clinics across West Africa. Dave has a track-record of helping customers achieve success with new and unproven technologies. He has researched and implemented innovative solutions in the healthcare, retail, financial services, telecommunications, and government sectors.

The use of these solutions to overcome technological barriers has been documented in several case studies and public references. In one case, Dave created a blueprint to help companies add Hadoop to their existing data infrastructures, streamlining the preparation and integration of "big data" sources with data stored in existing data warehouses. This solution reduced training costs, increased acceptance, and improved ease of use for reporting and analysis.

Dave’s previous career experience includes creating an international partner channel and developing a professional services organisation for Pentaho (Hitachi Data Systems). Dave also held leadership roles at TEMTEC (IBM) and Sagent (Pitney-Bowes), where he provided acumen on business development, product marketing, and product management. Dave holds an MSc in Information Science from the University of North Texas, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Zahir joined eHa in January 2018. As the Director of Finance and Administration, he is responsible for managing and completing a wide range of leadership and management functions. 

He supervises directly and works closely with the Deputy Director for Finance, Controller and Internal Auditor and provides oversight, leadership, guidance, and ultimate accountability for key finance functions.

Zahir also works closely with the co-executive directors, management team, and country staff to ensure eHA maintains practical and efficient systems that enables the organization to fulfil its mission to improve health systems in Africa. So far, Zahir has been able to manage the overall organisation budget and staff/labourer allocation.

Zahir has over two decades of experience in the international development sector and has managed large and complex high-profile projects funded by USAID and other donors. His core expertise lies in project management, budgeting, cost control, contracts, grants management, auditing, business development, financial analysis, strategic planning, customer and client relations and staff development. Zahir holds a B.A.Sc. in Applied Science, Finance from George Mason University, Virginia and an M.Sc. in Finance from The George Washington University, Washington.

Atef joined eHA in November 2012. Working together with all program managers and directing them, Atef oversees all operations at eHA Nigeria. He also leads the emergency response efforts as well as the ICT team and handles relations with state and federal governments in Nigeria. 

Atef was leading the setting up of eight Polio Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) in Nigeria, funded by the Gates Foundation. The first two EOCs were built within four weeks. He further led the setting up the Ebola EOC in Lagos that was completed within two weeks. Atef was also reponsible for building eHA’s Nigerian Operations Department. Prior to joining eHA, Atef worked as Operations Manager and COO at Electronic Connections Ltd. in Kano. Atef holds a BSc in Computer Communications Engineering from the Lebanese International University, Beirut.

Jatin joined eHA in January 2016 as a consultant and transitioned to an employee in March 2017. In his capacity as Deputy Director of Program Operations, Jatin leads the Operations department and manages safety, security and emergencies. He also manages the eHA Sierra Leone office providing support to the HR, Finance, ICT, Health Information Systems and Grants Departments. He helped in expanding the 117 operations to all the Districts in Sierra Leone with support to the eHA Programs team. Jatin also manages and develops relationships with Government agencies especially with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone.

Jatin has over 20 years of experience in setting up and managing peacekeeping and humanitarian operations in different countries. He is the Director of Alagendra Foundation which focuses on education in Sierra Leone where they have three schools and development projects in Sri Lanka. Jatin is a Desk Officer with Global Victims’ Initiatives which investigates and reports on human rights violations and atrocities. He is also a Director in Youth Grow Initiatives based in Kenya which focuses on sports and education to give the youth an opportunity instead of extremism.

He holds a diploma in Business Administration and Computer Programing from University of Sierra Leone and a diploma in Gemology & Diamond Grading and Assortment from the Gemological Institute of India.

Aji joined eHA in June 2013. Working on the Polio eradication program funded by the Gates Foundation, Aji’s first responsibility was the management and oversight of the Borno Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Nigeria.

In his role as Associate Deputy Director, Program Operations - Nigeria, Aji is responsible for providing oversight to the operations team and ensuring compliance to key eHA operational policies in line with global operational standards (determination of quality measurement standards (QMS statistics, implementation of QMS reporting, and the determination of key weakness areas & development of improvement plans).

Aji was awarded Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Staff of the Year for 2014 at eHA while serving as EOC Manager for the Borno EOC, leading to his deployment to Liberia with the eHA team to set up eHA Liberia operations. Aji has served in various capacities in Liberia including Project Manager in 2015, Country Lead & Program Manager in 2016 and then Deputy Director, Program Operations in 2017 ensuring eHA’s programs and projects in Liberia, the office’s financial and fiscal administration, as well as effectively leading eHA’s employees in the country until his redeployment to Nigeria.

Prior to joining eHA, Aji worked with Nigeria commercial banks in various capacities including North East Regional Treasurer and Branch Manager at Intercontinental Bank Plc. He also held other roles working for Access Bank Plc and First Bank Plc in Nigeria.

Aji has a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree in Estate Management from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) in Bauchi, Nigeria and Diploma in Information Technology Applications(DITA) from the Hands On Institute of Information Technology in Lagos. Aji successfully completed studies for a Masters in International Management at the University of Liverpool (UOL).

Sylvia joined eHA in April 2017. Sylvia provides oversight and detailed management of eHA’s Grants Department. In addition to providing broad oversight to the entire eHA portfolio, she proactively leads the management of the Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Sierra Leone and Liberia. She ensures the overall strategic focus, management effectiveness, financial probity, and compliance for all CoAg-funded program activities. 

In recent years, Sylvia has managed a complex, $105M dollar portfolio of grants for international health related projects. Her leadership includes the effective and efficient administration of sponsored projects through the entire award life cycle, from pre-award to close-out, focusing on regulatory compliance and enforcement of donor policies and procedures.

Prior to commencing her role as eHA’s Sr. Grants Manager, Sylvia managed the World Bank’s $16.5M Sustainable Energy, Oil, Gas & Mining Sierra Leone portfolio. This entailed providing oversight on the design and management of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) project, including providing strategic advisory and technical assistance services to the Ministry of Mineral Resources; coordinating and executing financial and operational reporting to headquarters and donors; and maintaining the overall quality of programs.

Sylvia is a motivated professional with over 13 years of professional experience including the management of multi-million dollar grant portfolios and a demonstrated expertise in international project management and higher education administration. She has extensive experience in building and sustaining relationships and partnerships. This includes providing customized advisory services and technical assistance to stakeholders in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Sylvia has lived in Sierra Leone and Mali, and has traveled to over 18 countries. She has held positions with the World Bank, the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, and several US nonprofits.

She holds a MSc in Development Management from the American University in Washington, DC and a BA in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Catherine joined eHA in March 2015. Catherine oversees the day-to-day operations of the Global Finance & Accounting Department.  By working with eHA’s finance and accounting teams across West Africa, she creates tools and performs analysis that allows eHA to understand its financial health through multiple lenses. These detailed and timely reports are critical to providing accurate and transparent donor reporting. 

Catherine joined eHA Liberia amid the Ebola outbreak and response. Playing an essential role in organizing and improving the financial systems of eHA Liberia, she facilitated enhanced donor reporting to the CDC Foundation. After her proven successes with eHA Liberia, Catherine transitioned to a global role, where she strives to develop policies and procedures that ease the administrative burden involved in executing eHA’s programs.

The first decade of Catherine’s career was focused on commercial and investment banking in Atlanta and New York. After marrying her military husband and moving to Africa, her career shifted to emerging markets and non-profit finance and accounting.

Catherine is devoted to her family and her community. She is an active volunteer with youth sports organizations, military spouse groups, and educational outreach programs. She previously served as a Board Member for the American International School of Monrovia, and as the Finance and Operations Advisor for a non-profit girls school in Liberia. Catherine holds an MBA in Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Her BSBA is in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Florida. Go Gators!

Nuratu joined eHA in June 2016. Nuratu ensures that the software department of eHA consistently aligns with the larger organisational strategies by prioritising and providing needed resources to manage eHA’s software portfolio. 

She balances the conflicting demands between programs and projects through allocating software resources based on organisational priorities and capacity, while ensuring that there is cohesive collaboration between cross-country software teams. She is also responsible for hiring software staff, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department and Country Leads. Nuratu supervises Health Informatics Managers across eHA’s focus countries. She has ensured consistent collaboration and communication between their teams by utilising existing and new technological tools that track and promote productivity. Nuratu has collaborated with her team to streamline the process of software management by ensuring that the team gets adequate training on software management tools. They have collectively built the team’s capacity are are working to ensure that eHA attracts the best talent for software engineering and support.

Nuratu is an active volunteer and contributor to girl child education and protection initiatives across Nigeria. She is a member of several organisations dedicated to women’s and youth empowerment. Nuratu serves as a founding member of the Arewa Youth Enlightenment and Empowerment initiative (AYEEI), an initiative that strives to provide youth of northern Nigeria with opportunities and access to jobs, skill acquisition, and drug abuse rehabilitation programs.

Nuratu began her career in the financial sector, where she worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission and as an eBanking professional with ASO Savings and Loans Plc. She later worked as a consultant for a few IT startups, and then joined SWGlobal Ltd as a Project Manager. She later became SWGlobal Ltd’s Project Delivery Manager, where she was responsible for ensuring the timely implementation of the FCTA Internally Generated Revenue Assurance project and the FRSC Drivers license project. She eventually advanced to the role of Head of Operations and became a member of SWGlobal Ltd’s Senior Management Team. As the Head of Operations, she was responsible for the management, supervision and evaluation of the company’s Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solutions Architects, Software Developers and client support staff. In this role, she was in charge of liaising with the company’s high level public sector clients and provided periodic updates to their Executive Board. Nuratu received a BSc in Sociology from the University of Abuja in Nigeria. After which, she earned a Master’s Degree in E-commerce from Coventry University in the UK and a PhD in Business Management from Limkokwing University of Creative Technologies in Malaysia.

Juliet joined eHA in June 2018. Juliet is the Senior Program Manager, Programs Delivery.  She oversees the coordination and administration of all new and ongoing projects/programs in the Nigeria portfolio, including planning, staffing, leading and controlling program activities. She is responsible for the success of current programs and the development of new programs.

Juliet led the team which, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria, ensured the passage into law of the Secured Transaction in Movable Assets Bill, a key piece of legislation which will significantly increase SME access to finance. She also led the team that developed and deployed a nationwide Early Infant Diagnosis Laboratory Information Management System and National EID Dashboard to enable FMOH active monitoring of diagnosis and treatment of HIV-exposed infants.

Before joining eHA, Juliet was a Portfolio Manager on the DFID-funded Growth and Employment in States (GEMS3) Program, providing oversight over several projects aimed at improving the legal and regulatory environment for small and medium enterprises in Nigeria.  She was also the New Technology Lead and Senior Analyst on HIV Laboratory Access at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Nigeria.

Juliet holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.BA) in Computer Information Systems from Howard University, Washington D.C.

Oladele joined eHealth Africa in December 2017 as the Senior Coordinator, New Business Development to help eHA streamline its proposal development processes, helping the organization to move away from an ad hoc to a more systematic approach in the preparation of funding applications.

Oladele manages and coordinates all new business and strategic opportunities. He liaises with the executive, senior management team and project/ program managers to gather inputs for new business scoping and submissions; and ultimately ensures accountability for the proposal submission lifecycle. He is responsible for managing timelines and overseeing the progression of work within eHA to ensure that high quality, responsive and compliant proposal applications are completed and submitted on time. Since January 2018, he has coordinated the submissions of 23 proposals.

Dele was recognized at the Q2 all staff meeting here at eHa for some of his accomplishments including the development of the  “Go or No Go”matrix, Proposal Development Workflow and the Business Development Quarterly Tracker.

Oladele has over 10 of experience in the international development sector, private and management consulting with government agencies. He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in International Business from University of Dundee, Scotland, UK.

Johanna joined eHA in June 2015. Johanna manages the eHA Germany office and identifies opportunities to position eHA as a strong partner for EU-based institutions and organizations. She also supports business development across the organization.

By working with all eHA country offices and divisions, Johanna implements strategic initiatives to strengthen core processes in the areas of capacity building, quality assurance, and business operations.  Johanna has helped eHA build up and strengthen its HR division across offices. With crucial input from various teams within the organization, she oversaw and coordinated the development and implementation of key policies and procedures. Most recently, Johanna oversaw the growth of eHA into the German and EU market, including staff organization and restructuring of resources.

Johanna has managed the roll-out of a national graduate students tracking system across technical universities and institutes of technology in Ethiopia. She was part of a research team that analyzed and published on user behavior towards open educational resources with a positive impact on policymaking across OECD member states. Johanna supported the international scale-up of a German grassroots organization that has placed close to 1000 refugees in flat shares across Europe.

Prior to joining eHA, Johanna worked as Advisor for Higher Education and Technical and Vocational Training at GIZ in Addis Ababa and on the topic of sustainability standards in global supply chains at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). She was a consultant for the African constituencies of the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Education before joining a research team at OECD headquarters in Paris to develop a publication on the educational impact of open content policies. Johanna holds an M.A. in Area Studies and International Affairs from FIU and Bard College and a B.A. in Area Studies and History from Humboldt Universität Berlin.

Dami joined eHA in June 2014. Dami oversees eHealth Africa’s geographic information systems (GIS) and data analytics team. Dami spearheaded the team to migrate eHA GIS systems from proprietary to open source solutions, saving over $1million dollars in annual license costs. 

He also leads the team in developing geodatabase for Nigeria which currently spans over 160,000 settlements, over 140,000km of roads, and more than 10,000 markets and schools. He leads the development of the health facilities database for Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The Nigeria database currently hosts over 40,000 health facility records. He provides mentorship to fresh graduates on the UCL alumni network and also volunteers as an RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) mentor, providing mentorship to candidates preparing for chartership.

Prior to eHA, Dami worked in the UK for over 7 years developing data management solutions. While working at Dotted Eyes, he consulted as a GIS professional for Ordnance Survey, Network Rail, National Health Service (NHS), Network Rail, and Crossrail. Dami has a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Science from University College London (UCL) and a Bachelors of Science in Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering from University of Lagos. He is a Chartered Geomatics member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) UK. He is currently studying an Executive MBA at European School of Management and Technology (ESMT), Berlin.
 

Abdulhamid joined eHA in November 2017 as the Senior Manager, IT Engineering and Operations. He leads the ICT, Helpdesk, DevOps and Business Application teams across Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Germany to ensure metric- based improvements in the support and services deployed by the ITEO team.

Abdulhamid is also tasked with ensuring that paid applications are streamlined and that service costs are reduced to the barest minimum. He is currently leading the ISO 27001 compliance and certification process for the organization which will ensure that eHA has an established system for implementing, operating, monitoring, and improving its information security management system.

Before he joined eHA, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Aurora Wireless Ltd., where he diversified the portfolio of the company from ICT to mobile money operations and payment terminal services provision.

He holds a B.Sc in Mathematics, M.Sc in Computer Science and MBA from Bayero University, Kano State, Nigeria. He went on to acquire the Lean Six Sigma training and certification in Process Re-engineering from Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Over the course of a decade, Abdulhamid has earned several other professional certifications and provides mentorship on cybersecurity to other executives and professionals in the IT sector and guides them to gain their own certifications.

Andrew joined eHA’s Board of Directors in January 2017. Andrew is the Strategy and Learning Lead, AgriFin Accelerate at Mercy Corps and is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Formerly, he served as USAID’s Global Development Lab’s Africa Regional Advisor . In this role, he supported USAID’s digital finance initiatives in health, social protection, agriculture, and democracy and governance programs. Andrew was a principal contributor to The Population Council’s mHealth initiatives. This work spans over 30 projects in HIV prevention and treatment; maternal and newborn health; and poverty, gender, and youth interventions.

Andrew has designed and implemented technology deployments across Africa, including the delivery of pre- and post-test HIV counseling via mobile phones. Additional technology solutions he’s implemented include mobile job-aids and task-shifting tools for low-literate community health workers, the application of mobile phones to survey sampling techniques, and the deployment of point-of-service user self-assessment tools in low-resource healthcare settings. Andrew previously served as the Country Director for the Population Council in Nigeria. Prior to that role, he was the lead behavioral scientist on the Truvada PrEP clinical trial at CDC Botswana. Andrew has worked in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia for over 18 years, providing technical assistance to research initiatives, policy analysis, advocacy development, program design, and monitoring and evaluation systems. He has conducted evaluations for a variety of clients, which include: community-based organizations, host governments, multilateral and bilateral international donors, national and international NGOs, and UN agencies. Andrew has extensive experience working in conflict and post-conflict settings delivering emergency aid and health care, facilitating epidemiological surveillance and social appraisals, and assisting with transitions to sustainable development.

Andrew holds a PhD in Public Health and Demography from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He earned both his MA in Bio-medical Anthropology and his BA in Anthropology and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
 

My T. Le joined eHA’s Advisory Board in 2010 and eHA’s Board of Directors in January 2017. My is a lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University. She also serves as the Founding Director of the Stanford Gap For Good Program, a program that enables students to work with leading NGOs and nonprofits on global health and sustainable development projects.

In addition, My invests in and advises startup companies in the US, Canada, and India. My joined the startup company Granite Systems, which was later acquired by Cisco Systems. At Cisco, she gained extensive design and development experience in networking components. She performed a multiplicity of roles during her tenure at Cisco, including serving as an architect and designer for a project that created a next generation high performance router. My also served as the architect for a project that delivers a new routing and switching engine for a key product in the Enterprise Line of Business. She has additional industrial experience working with the Global Health Research Foundation, GreenPlug, Jooners, and Benetech. My obtained both her MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. My received her BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
